This short programme provides participants with the foundational knowledge needed to effectively intervene in situations where someone may be contemplating suicide.
Designed for individuals across various professions and community roles, this programme equips you with the tools to recognise the signs of suicide, initiate life-saving conversations, and connect a person having thoughts of suicide with appropriate resources.
Whilst every effort will be made to discuss these topics sensitively and ethically, the subject matter could cause distress. Please consider whether you are currently ready to attend this training. By attending the event, you acknowledge that you understand it is a training (not therapy) and that you feel prepared to learn more.
We value and appreciate our incredibly diverse audiences, who always bring a range of opinions, emotions, experiences, and knowledge. To ensure that our online environment remains supportive, we work hard to provide a respectful environment, sensitive to the range of views in the room.
If you book a ticket and then are unexpectedly unable to attend this event, even at the very last minute, please do let us know before the session, either by returning to the Eventbrite link in your confirmation email or by emailing info@thebenraemersfoundation.com
Please be aware that we require a minimum number of delegates for each of our online sessions to run effectively. If we are unable to obtain the minimum number 24 hours prior, you may be informed of the course’s postponement and will be given the option to transfer to the next available course.
This is a concise workshop, delivered online or in person, for half a day, making it accessible for busy professionals. The programme includes a mix of interactive presentations, real-life case studies, and role-playing exercises to ensure participants leave with practical, actionable skills.
By equipping yourself with the knowledge and skills taught in this programme, you become a crucial part of the effort to reduce suicide rates and save lives. Every intervention can make a difference.
